Julie A. Garcia916-783-6262 telephone Ms. Garcia assists clients with land acquisition transactions, real property acquisitions and sales, common interest development issues, land use issues, including review, assessment and criticism of planning reports, development agreements, community benefit agreements and environmental impact reports and other CEQA documents and permits. Ms. Garcia has also appeared at and monitored land use proceedings and settlement conferences both at the county level and superior court level. Ms. Garcia provides advice and assistance to clients regarding a wide variety of corporate transactional matters including entity formation and corporate maintenance. In addition, Ms. Garcia assists clients with general business transactions, including venture financing, private placements, asset purchase and sale transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Garcia has represented private and public companies in equity and debt financing transactions, ranging from early stage angel financings to later stage venture capital financings. Her practice also includes assisting clients with business planning scenarios, including the protection and licensing of intellectual property. Ms. Garcia has assisted companies with the negotiation of intellectual property licenses, distribution and marketing agreements, manufacturing agreements, joint venture agreements and development agreements. She also advises clients regarding general corporate matters, including corporate governance.
